MailStore Home: email back-up software

MailStore Home is free software^[1] for the centralisation and local storage of different email accounts. It allows you to centralise emails from different email clients and webmail applications, and export in EML.

Importing emails

• Open MailStore Home.
• Go to the 'Archive Email' tab. Use this feature to import emails from webmail (first column), email clients (second column), or to import email files such as EML and MSG (third column).

• This example shows how to retrieve webmail. Enter the email address in the 'Email account' field and click 'Start'.

• Enter the password.

• MailStore Home configures your server settings and retrieves your emails.

Exporting an entire folder

• Go to the 'Export Email' tab.
• Click 'Create profile' and select 'Directory (File System)'.

• A new window opens. Click 'EML Files' and then select the folder you want to export.

• Select the folder you want to save the emails to.

• The new profile is created.
• Select the profile and click 'Run'.

• MailStore exports the emails to the chosen target folder.
