Archief en Museum voor het Vlaams leven te Brussel

Who?

The AMVB (Archives and Museum for the Flemish life in Brussels, www.amvb.be) preserves the private archives of dutch speaking organisations, families and individual people from Brussels.

Why?

As a community archive and pluralistic organization, the AMVB guarantees the acquisition, preservation, research and accessibility of the archives belonging to these diverse groups. Our holdings relate to the 19 municipalities in Brussels capital region. They permit to (re)discover the disappearing collective memory of the Flemish citizens in the cosmopolitan city of Brussels. We also encourage greater use of our archival heritage by the general public, as it is a plentiful source of pleasure and education.
